We know the spider catches the fly but this black widow has caught a small snake. I came upon the black widow in my greenhouse, wrapping up the dead snake, and caught this act on my iPhone. The next day there was no sign of the snake.

Wow–quite a performance! We have seen a few black widows around our hot tub, but none as talented as that one!
